No pics of Imogen?? WTH I thought she had the A plot. I wonder why they’re being so hush hush about it. besides Imogens homelife it could be Imogens confusion with her feelings for Eli and Fiona. The writers really didn’t have that clousure with Eli and Imogen. They keeped that door open. I know Eli and Clare are back together and Fiona and Imogen are together. That Imogen and Eli could still harbor feelings for each other it does happen in real life. Weird thought what if Imogen has a shrine of Eli in her bedroom and thats why she doesn’t want Fiona over.

If the only thing a person knew about Degrassi was what he saw in Teennick promos, you’d think that Eli, Clare, Drew, Katie, Bianca and Jake were the only characters and that all the plots are about two boys fighting over a girl and two girls fighting over a guy.

I noticed that although the last two plots Imogen/Fiona were in were C plots, they were never mentioned in the promos. So after last night’s episode, I thought to myself, “Okay, there is absolutely no way they won’t advertise Imogen’s A plot.” ..Then the promo came on, and I sat there with my mouth gaped open. The hell, Teennick?

I think it was because they choose to play up the relationship drama more since most of the fans are girls who tend to enjoy or at least pay more attention to the relationship drama rather than a dead dog. From a point of view i get. Though munch music’s are far better.

Let me elaborate: When they advertised the part 2 of the Frostival, they only advertised Eclare, who had the B plot. But in previous eps, they advertised the A plot only. When they advertised for Rusty Cage, they advertised Cam, who had the main plot. But now Imogen has the main plot and they advertise the C plot. Teennick upsets me in so many ways sometimes.

As much as I always want to know what happens next, I wish Teennick was more like Much Music, where they show one weekly promo that actually includes a little of everything. And yes, I definitely remember Eclare’s limelight in the season finale promo. I still don’t think any promo can be worse than the Drew/Katie/Bianca promo from last season though. The whole “who will he choose?” thing.

What’s crazier is that they actually shot an alternative scene with just Ms. Oh and Connor. Compare the two and you’ll see slight differences. It’s not like the cut job they did on Terri in the seasons 4 and 5 credits.

I can’t believe that they did that! Part of me is starting to feel like something went on behind the scenes with Sam for them to do that. Just seems sketchy that they’re trying to erase KC/Sam from the show so fast, after he was just written off only one episode ago. They’ve never done that before, for any character. Not even ones like Blue or Leia.

I’m actually enjoying the fact that we’re getting a deeper look into Imogen. It’s a true shame that Teennick promoted Katie’s plot more than the A-plot. I rather see a plot about Imogen’s dead dog than Katie being a tease this time around.

As a person who had to deal with a grandparent developing Dementia I sympathize with and also want to strangle Imogen. It is hard coming to terms with the fact that someone you love is forgetting and will very soon forget everything is difficult…however her dad is past the beginning stages (which i thought was what we were going to be introduced to in the beginning since the episode started with the keys in the fridge) It is a severe case of Dementia when someone can kill something and then forget (especially if that something was part of the family) this is kind of a stereotype of Dementia/Alzheimer after my g-ma developed it I spent lots of time with people who have this very disease and when something tragic happens 9/10 they can remember it…its the little things (key, clothes) that are forgotten…also I wonder why she hates her mom so much…I Also love Mike Dallas and even though he is suppose to be a ‘villain’ he is really multifaceted and I hope we get more sweet versions of him to go along with the d-bag version…Adam and Becky will be a great storyline in the future and will make Becky a little more palatable, so for that alone I hope they speed that storyline up
TL:DR version: The episode used an extreme (and rare) case of Alzheimer, I want to know why Imogen hates her mom, I have a little crush on Mike Dallas, And Adam + Becky FTW

I can’t believe they had to kill off the dog, Imogen’s storyline is unresolved I hope they don’t leave it at two episodes. I don’t think they had to kill off a dog in the storyline to show that her father was in serious need of help. I could care less about the Katie and Jake Mike Dallas. Agreed, Imogen will not let her mom explain herself at all. Imogens mom is really worried about her ex husband and her daughter. Shes a spinal surgeon here field takes many hours away from home to help others.. Too bad Imogen can’t repect that.

you’ve obviously haven’t been rejected by one of your parent so you can’t understand how she could still feel so betrayed years later. It’s something huge that a person can either get over or hold forever. Specially since her mom was a part of her life, since she was closer to her dad, and because her mom was able to create a whole new family that grudge is something most people would have.
Of course i feel bad about her mom, it seems like she truly cares about her daughter and just doesnt know how to bend that relationship. We are only getting imogen’s side of the story and while i don’t condemn anyone getting a divorce and moving on like her mom did, it doesnt mean imogen’s feelings are unfounded.

Yes I have been rejected from a parent. It took us awhile to come to terms. I had no idea my mom was an alcoholic at that time when I was young. I thought my mom didn’t want us kids but it was my dad who took us from that. So I understand where Imogens coming from but her moms a surgeon and they are on call 24 hrs a day. Thats why Im a little upset. I bet her mom knows what is going on with her dad. Imogen is in complete denial. Sorry to sound mean but thats how I see it.

It doesn’t matter if her mom is on call 24 hours a day. From what Imogen said, sounds like she made time for her new perfect family, but not her oldest daughter. Watching your mom build a new life and push you to the side is not any damn fun.
And you know, people who care about their careers that much shouldn’t have kids! Sometimes you really can’t have it all. There are enough neglected children in the world.

Alzheimer’s is what Imogen’s dad has. I remember when my late abuela (RIP) started experiencing symptoms, my dad had the same behavioral traits Imogen had this episode. Stage 2 is what Padre Moreno is on. Imogen’s mother seems to want to help, but past bitter feelings are not being let go by the daughter.
Adam exposed Becky, damn at “That’s LOW Becky Baker.” Etherous in its own way, when keeping it real goes wrong.
Katie’s plan backfired when she got smitten with Dallas and golf physics. Heh at the irony of her chat with Marisol by their lockers. She doesn’t want to be treated like crap by the next guy she falls for, understandable. Next episode looks good, I’m excited for tomorrow.

I hope that just maybe once Adam could have a positive outcome in a relationship. He hasn’t had any good. I mean with Fiona it was almost good, but she just wanted a girl and wasn’t really accepting Adam for who he is. With Becky…i’m afraid he’s going to get hurt again. Unless if she for some reason is so understanding of transgender people, which i think she’s not. I just want Adam to have a good relationship for once with someone who knows about him and likes him for him.

God, what a depressing dark little family life Imogen has going on. It’s even more depressing considering how peppy and spirited Imogen’s persona is. I just wanted to give her like five hugs in this episode. Teennick seems to go out of their way to not show Fiona or Imogen in the promos. Is it some kind of anti-gay thing? I just think it’s weird, especially since Imogen was the A-plot and had a WAY more intense storyline than Katie’s. Even though the dog moment depressed me to tears, I liked that Imogen came out to her mom.

I really doubt it’s an anti-gay thing, given the old frostival promos that heavily implied & basically showed the first fimogen kiss. I think either they want to avoid leaking spoilers for a potentially big storyline, or they gear the promos towards the Tweens & fangirls who make up a huge portion of the show’s key demographic and have so far seemed to care more about relationship plots than anything (see: cake vs eclare drama last summer)

Like Kary posted on Twitter, every episode this week the Degrassi Writers have been ripping our hearts out. K.C. is now completely gone, credits and all, Cam jumped off a catwalk and they SHOWED the whole scene, not even a cut to commercial or anything like they did with Eli’s car accident. Now Imogen’s dad has dementia/Alzheimer’s and they want to kill the dog and then show us a pool of blood and Imogen break down crying. What did we ever do to them? SMH

I don’t understand why you’re shaking your head at these things…while they are sad and horrifying…it makes great television. It helps provoke a stronger emotional response and connection to Degrassi’s characters. That’s sorta their job…I applaud them for going there.

I know I’m happy they’re going for more intense stuff. This is probably the most fun I’ve had watching Degrassi since season 4!! It’s hard to watch (especially’s Cam falling) and that’s what makes it so compelling. Plus we don’t expect them to go there so it’s more shocking when it happens. And now I’m terribly scared for Tristan in the mid-season’s finale. Just read an article about Tristan’s storyline being as troubling as the shooting or JT’s death. I’m really really scared. Don’t kill him please. Just make it something super violent and tromatising :D You know, so Lyle can show off his acting chops.

It has been a season of excellent episodes so far. I don’t know what is going to happen to Tristan, but he won’t be killed. He appears in epsiodes which have already been filmed for the fall bloc.

Is it just me or did anyone else think that Cristine Prosperi’s acting (specially when imogen sees the dead dog) was not the greatest? I’m actually disappointed because she’s usually awesome as imogen portraying the special brand of weird we love but with the emotion stuff today? it was like watching an actor flounder.

I’ve never viewed her as a particularly strong actress, since the beginning I thought she overplayed the ‘quirkiness’ to an awkward and fairly annoying extent haha. I’ve enjoyed her more lately though, I just think she works best as a supporting character. in my opinion, I think she lacks the proper charisma to be a big player (though that’s not saying much, given that Katie is most certainly a big player -_-)

Yeah, her acting is a bit off. On the other hand, the writing is so great that it balances out. Like this plot a lot. Katie’s….I still don’t know if I enjoy it or not. I don’t like Katie, I really love Mike Dallas, Jake is just there…I so want this to be more about Katie’s insecurities of getting back in a relationship rather then a dumb love triangle.

But still I think we have to remember that Degrassi has never been known for it’s great acting. I remember Riley’s in his “angry” face shouting “I’m not gay”…..punch. That was laughable. Same with Season 9-10 Jenna. She’s still not stellar but she has improved so much from where she started. I actually like that a lot. For me, Degrassi is all about the issues and the writing.

i enjoyed tonights show. im glad that fiona finally met imogens dad, i thought she was trying to hide the fact she is bi to him but she just didnt want fiona to know that her dad has Alzheimer. fimogen get so much slack but they are really cute to me. mike dallas is a true charmer ,they need to show my boy some love! i know why he may be intriged with katie, with the sports ting ,but come on he can do better. besides i like dark hair kate with garden boy.i really want mike to woo the hell out of Marisol, like decan did holly d.she can be all sassy like she dont want him but fall for him.. hes more her speed anyway they just threw her with big mo…

We have asked too much of the Degrassi writers! They are now taking their reign over the Degrassi Universe and punishing the fans! Haha
But seriously, what’s with the mass genocide of characters and pets? Poor K.C. was axed way too soon. Alli’s leaving at the end of this season. We never got any development on Volta. Volta was only in 2 episodes before they murdered his character. Plus, We are losing a ton of characters due to graduation.
Basically all we are going to have left with is Clare, Connor, Jenna, Dave, Maya, Tristan, Zig, Tori, Campbell, Luke, Becky, and Adam. Well, and most likely Drew…(vomits). I feel like the writers are trying to cut the cast down – but we will most likely be losing Clare, Connor, Dave, Adam, Jenna, Luke, and Becky after season 13 or 14 (at the latest depending on how they span the school year out). So we will only be left with Maya, Zig, Tori, Campbell, and Tristan.
What has the Degrassiverse come to?! I hate to say this, I have been a fan since season 1, but I feel like Degrassi is coming to an end soon. I mean, I guess we never thought we’d be able to revive ourselves after Emma, Manny, Liberty, etc were gone – but we had Holly J, Sav, Anya, Riley, etc to carry the show on. I feel that after Clare and the others are gone we’ll be left with characters that I don’t believe can make the show work the magic it has had these past few seasons.
:( I don’t want Degrassi to go away – but then again I’m already finished with college and I still watch it. Haha. I’m totally fangirling – but Degrassi is my shit! If it goes away all i will have in my life is How I Met Your Mother. :'(

I have faith that after the juniors and seniors are gone, the kids who are left will be more than able to carry the show. I was apprehensive about the niners, but they’ve grown on me, and every scene they’re in as a group leaves me with a big smile on my face. Hell, I’m almost 26, and I’d watch the show if the niners were the only ones starring. I certainly enjoy watching them more than Katie, Jake, Owen, and Drew.

I found myself really enjoying this episode, especially Imogen’s plot. Some of her acting was off (but again she never was the show’s strongest actress by any means). Either way this delivered in spades. Kudos! I did end up feeling for Imogen’s mother though, we only know so much of what happened.
Th Katie/Jake/Dallas stuff was understandable, what with Katie’s past with Drew. Very much so like Manny didn’t want to date Spinner, due to what happened with Craig. I can’t say it was too interesting though.
The Adam/Becky stuff barely got much screen-time to mean much TBH. I do hope Adam ends up getting Becky and has the chance to finally have a fleshed-out relationship with her.

Any plot with Katie in it is a plot I sleep through. *yawns* Her character is boring at this point and I don’t give a crap who she dates anymore. I actually like Drew’s plots with Fiona more than Katie’s plots with anyone. Seems like most people on here wants Drew to go, but I want Katie to disappear instead. Same with Marisol, but at least she is a tad bit more fun to watch.
I hope that Imogen lets her mom help the family because I think she realizes something that Imogen doesn’t realize. Her dad needs help. The part where Imogen came out to her mom was my favorite. I love watching characters stand up to the parents and admit stuff that a lot of people are afraid to tell their parents.
I also hope that Beckdam happens. I will be interesting how Becky’s beliefs mix with Adam’s transgenderness. I wonder if she realizes that he is transgender…

On a scale of 0 – 10, I give Cristine’s acting a 9 and a half. It’s not a 10 because of the crying scene. But other than that I thought it was pretty good.
